We Choose Virtues {WINNER}

Thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s We Choose Virtues {GIVEAWAY}!

The winner, via Random.org was…

AURIE!

Aurie blogs over at Our Good Life and homeschools her two adorable little girls, so I’m sure this will be a wonderful addition to their curriculum for this fall!

You know, this system is so simple, but so profound, that I find we can even fit in a quick lesson on the weekends! I just sit down at the table with the kids while they’re having snack (because we never miss snack time!) and we go over our Virtue of the week and each of them point out one way they have been Obedient (or whichever), and one way they have not and how they could have behaved with better results.  (And I make sure to give them a sticker for whatever behavior they have done!) They actually really enjoy it!

***********************************************************************************

If you didn’t win, you can still get a great deal at We Choose Virtues…use the coupon code VIRTUE15 to receive 15% off your entire shopping cart OR START25 to get 25% of any kit $99.00 and above (great for teachers!)

If you feel like a whole kit might be too much for you right now, Heather suggests that the posters are a great way to keep the Virtues in front of your kids all the time.

If wall space is an issue (like for us!) and you’re on a tight budget, I would encourage you to invest in the parent (faith-based) or teacher (not faith-based) cards first and secondly the flashcards (available with scripture or non-faith based versions). You can make your own sticker charts, but I think those parenting cards are essential!

Feeling overwhelmed? There’s also has this handy-dandy product comparison chart–or just ask on their Facebook page.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment or email me…I love being an affiliate with such a great company!

Oh yeah, and tomorrow…I’ll be posting about THIS…
