Thankful for the Beauty of Family
I mentioned last week about taking the kids for a ride in our roughed-up old workhorse of a Polaris Ranger over the weekend as a family treat after planting sunflowers together. We saw a deer, and a rabbit, and while I was downloading the pictures, I found another gem…
Was it this rather interesting vision the Ladybug captured for us?
Nope. Although I have to admit, I don’t think I would have even noticed it to get this picture. Her fresh eyes behind the lens have been a joy. I think I might just frame this one.
So was it this one? A small ocean of ripe, rippling winter wheat?
Nope.
How about this one? The very first fresh white iris popping up out of the grass by our mailbox.
Nope.
It was this one, blurry though it is, that made my heart flip-flop a little…
The old logging paths are bumpy and stumpy and muddy and it can be quite a wild ride–even at 5 miles per hour in 4 low. When Daddy said hold on, they didn’t grab the arm rails, they didn’t grab their seatbelts, they didn’t grab the frame…they grabbed each other.
Was there ever a better definition of family?
It doesn’t get any better than this! These are the moments that really define our wonderful lives! Have a great weekend with your sweet family!
It was adorable and beautiful all at the same time. Have a great weekend yourself! 🙂
OHHHHHH!!! That last picture brought such joy to my heart….you are doing a great job raising a FAMILY, not just raising your children!! God bless you all!
Is it not the most precious picture? I wish it was technically as good as it is emotionally–but I’m taking what I can get. It’s enough to save for them to remember!
Oh, there is just something abou little kids holding hands, holding onto each other. It warms my heart and makes me smile!
It was so innocent and spontaneous…siblings are such a gift to each other!
So cute!
