Disclosure Policy

Walking in High Cotton is written and edited by me, Jamie Oliver (also known on the web as va_grown), or approved guest writers, and is managed as part of The Lowe Farm.

This blog is about sharing my experiences and opinions, not about giving professional advice or counsel. Please use your own discernment and good sense when reading!

For questions about this blog, please send me an email.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. As the owner of this blog, I am sometimes compensated to provide my opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. However, the views and opinions expressed on this blog are all my own. Nothing in life is ever perfect. I try to give my readers a balanced view with any reviews I do and they will usually contain both the positives and negatives. However; if I really don’t like a product I’ve been given to review for some reason, I usually like to give the company the option of not posting the review, unless I feel it is something that really needs to be shared with my readers.

The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space, or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content. I do not accept advertising, sponsorship, or other forms of compensation for products that I do not believe in or that conflict with my personal beliefs to the greatest extent I am aware of.

If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my experience, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider. Again, please use your own discernment and good sense when reading!

I am an affiliate with several different companies and may receive compensation if a reader clicks through a link on my blog and makes a purchase.

This affiliation does not affect the price of the product to you, the end-user! {Except sometimes it means I have special coupon codes for ya!}

Unless otherwise expressly stated, you should assume that Walking in High Cotton has an affiliate relationship or other material connection to the providers of goods and services mentioned by, recommended, hyperlinked to, or otherwise referenced and shared on this blog. In addition, you should assume that I may be compensated monetarily or non-monetarily when you visit, purchase goods or services from, or take any other action on a third-party website mentioned by, recommended, hyper-linked to, or otherwise referenced on Walking in High Cotton. You should always perform due diligence before buying any goods or services online or offline.

Privacy Policy

Friends, we’re website and internet users too. And we don’t want our information passed around like a cold in winter either. We understand your concerns because we share them.

We collect your name and email address for our own personal use here at the Blog. You’re our community, and our customers, and we use that information only to provide news and resources directly from US to YOU.  You’ll get free lifetime access to our Printables Library and our weekly 5 From the Farm newsletter.  We’ll occassionally send out special updates and coupons that we think you’ll find interesting or helpful.

But we will never, ever, ever, sell your information or intentionally spam you with emails we didn’t directly vet for our readers. Quite frankly, I put too much work into finding great resources for you week after week to have someone come along and “buy” my effort for basically pennies and then undo all my work and use it to send a bunch of junk mail out. Nope. Not gonna happen.

But please also remember that this is the web. Nothing is ever totally secure. We’re doing the best we can, but be smart out there! And if you ever have any questions, send us an email at thelowefarm(at)gmail(dot)com.

Fancy Legalese Version…
