I feel a little out of sorts today and have a lot on my mind. So here’s a stream of conscious post for you to enjoy…maybe…along with completely random pictures I’ve been digging out for scrapbooking and just can’t help but smile each time I see them…

- We’ve decided not to celebrate our Christmas with Santa Clause any more. Mr. Fix-It laid this out for the crew last night at dinner. It went amazingly well. The Ladybug said, “Well, we have Jesus for Christmas. People who don’t have Jesus can have Santa Clause. Can I have more broccoli, please.” Seriously? There’s no way I’m off the hook that easily.

- I was recently reading that you’re not supposed to double space after periods anymore when typing. That might not be a habit I can break–the space bar is one of the few keys I never miss. (If you see any weird formatting here at High Cotton over the next few weeks, mentally refer back to this post.)

- I already miss Santa Claus in our life. My mama loved Santa Claus. Loved, loved, loved him. I’m glad we love, love, love Jesus, ’cause this is going to be tough…for me.

- I double space after all my periods. All. Of. Them.

- I have to dress the Ladybug up as a Gingerbread man for the Ladies “Candy Land Adventure” holiday fellowship in a few weeks. All ideas welcome–except those that involve sewing of any kind. Oh, and have you ever heard of a “gingerbread girl?” Because she told me she doesn’t like being a “man” and thinks she should be a “gingerbread girl” instead.

- Stevie Taylor over at Ruffled Feathers and Spilled Milk posted about laundry and the chicken coop the other day and I laughed, and laughed. Unfortunately I have to do both this weekend–but I would definitely choose cleaning the coop too–if asked.

- It’s Family Movie Night–no matter what happens today, it’s my favorite night of the week!
Have a good weekend!
