I think we’re ready.
I finally feel ready.
Mr. Fix-It and I got all the presents wrapped last night and I finished putting up the decorations before the munchkins get home this afternoon. Looking around the house, I feel like I’ve finally opened my heart to Christmas.

Do we have more to do over the next couple days? Yes, but I went over our “to do” list and chopped it yesterday. By a lot. All we really need to do is be a family, go to Church, eat turkey, and watch the football game. {grin} Everything else is fluff.

I get to be off work from today through January 2nd, so there’s several things I just moved from this week to next week because they just weren’t going to get done. What matters is done. Our love-gifts are wrapped. Our Christmas Eve jammies and a copy of The Nativity to watch as a family is wrapped. We bought our turkey (maybe next year we’ll raise our own!) and potatoes.

And my crew will be home from Mimi’s in a just a few hours.
I’ll be blogging all next week, but right now I’d like to say, Merry Christmas! to all my readers, friends, and family.
We pray that you’ve saved room for Jesus in your hearts and homes this year, and that He blesses you abundantly above anything you could ever ask for.

What Child Is This
What child is this, who lay to rest On Mary’s lap is sleeping Whom angels greet with anthems sweet While shepherds watch are keeping This, this is Christ the King Whom shepherds guard and angels sing Haste, haste, to bring him laud The babe, the Son of Mary So bring him incense, gold, and myrrh Come peasant kings to hold him The King of Kings salvation brings Let loving hearts enthrone him This, this is Christ the King Whom shepherds guard and angels sing Haste, Haste to bring him laud The babe, the Son of Mary
