How This Busy Mom Makes it Work
Wednesdays are very hectic around here. We have all our normal chores, work, school, and then church in the evenings. And it’s double $1 coupon day at our grocery store too. I’ve been having trouble getting us all to church on Wednesday nights. It seems like the more we need to have a tight schedule and everything run perfectly, the more things fall apart.
But we have a new plan!
First, I’m going to STOP trying to do everything. Seriously. On Wednesdays my only goals are to go to work/school, and get to church. I will NOT stop to change loads of laundry. I will NOT load the dishwasher. I will NOT worry about the pile of clean towels on the couch, or clearing the table after dinner. I’m going to only focus on getting everyone fed and off to church.
And second? Pizza.
Yep. From now on until I figure out something better, we’ll be having Digornos on Wednesday nights.
Somethings got to give to get our priorities straight again and frozen pizza seemed like the easiest route. I have high hopes for the evening!
Do you have a particular day that extra hectic around your house? How do you handle it?
You know, I have figured out that satan pulls out all the BIG guns on Wednesday to make us late for church or to make me irritable before we get there! Cheyenne NEVER has homework, except on Wed. nights…really? Jeremy will ALWAYS (ALWAYS) get into trouble on Wed. and then need discipline. There is always something. Wed. are our left over nights. We clean out the refrigerator. You will find a system that works for you but the enemy will not give up. Praying that you are suited and ready for battle! 🙂 Have a blessed day Jamie!
I love it!! Great job to figure out what is important and go after it!! We love pizza night here too…and it always seems to flow much easier with an easy dinner!
