I’ve run into a funny thing with posting my cards–what if the person sees it here an then gets it in the mail?  Do they feel cheated?  Not special?  Not surprised and delighted at their personal, hand-made creation?  (That’s assuming, of course, that they’re reading this blog!)

Someone smarter (and more organized!) would just wait to post it until after the person would have received it.  If I did that I would never have a post ready.  I’m getting better about keeping up, but believe me, I’m never ahead of the game.

But onward and upward!

Here’s a card I made to go with a recent baby gift.  The clothes were pink and orange and we wrapped them in purple tissue paper.

The pink/purple/green is similiar to what I've used on some of the Ladybug scrapbook pages.

I really like that scrunchy pink ribbon from Stampin’ Up!  It can be pretty or funky, depending on what you need.  And it gives a lot of texture so it works well for tone on tone projects.

The button is just an extra from my sewing box.

While I had the bird & branch punch out I went ahead and put this one together from some more recent scrapbooking paper scraps.  This one is heading off to a teenage girl in our life.

This one's a little more inked and distressed.

It’s a little more funky and I like that orange/pink combination.  I used this paper a lot last year for some valentines.

I'm not actually sure where that green scallop scrap came from. It lookes like the reverse of something else. I just saw it laying there and thought "perfect!"

I put some cosmetic coupons that we’ve been saving up for her in it.  (If you know me, you know I would have pretty much no use for them.  And if you know my Goddaughter, you know she does.)

And my favorite this week is actually a guest project…

I think that's upside right...?

…From my Cowboy.

He made this for me in extended care at school, because “you like butterflies in your garden and I had a dolphin on my vitamin this morning.”

I’m tearing up right now just thinking about it.
