I wrote last week about how thankful I am for my boys. Well, recently we’ve readjusted our morning routine a little (to add some extra sleep in) and I’ve ended up taking Speedracer to the sitter before work. It’s been fun, if a little hard on my heartstrings.

Boys are so lively. So vibrant. So rough and tumble and bursting out and spilling over with enthusiasm for things I don’t get at all.

Like running, skipping, galloping, rolling, and racing around. Everywhere. And falling down and skidding across and getting back up and taking off…

And there’s always shooting bad guys, and deer, and catapillers, and anything else that crosses their path that is not a person (you have to have ground rules with boys).

And there’s the big, mean, di-no-sauuurrrrrr voices..

…That are coming to get youuuuuu!

And that’s all just on the way to the door!

It’s fascinating (and a little intimidating) as a mother–but I think I’m glad I didn’t have brothers.
