Did you notice that I changed my header?

IT SNOWED! (And I’m so behind in writing that I have to admit it was 8 days ago and I hadn’t mentioned it yet!) That’s our sheep out there in our little dusting of snow two Sunday mornings ago. As the kids say, “Thank God for wool coats!”

We had the church Christmas fellowship dinner on the Cowboy’s birthday Saturday night and when we came out to drive home, IT WAS SNOWING! Talk about a birthday surprise!

Of course, it was mostly melted by the time we got home from church, but that’s ok. We got to see it. The first snow of the year. We don’t get much snow around here. It gets cold. It gets icy. But we’ve gone entire winters with less than 5 inches total, all winter long. We did have some snow last year.

We made sure to get pictures to remind the kids. But it’s really a special treat around here. Normally it’s just windy, frozen, and cold all winter.

I try to keep stocked up on hot chocolate for the crew, since the chores must go on. They are highly motivated by the mention of mini marshmallows.
By the way, I’ve had some technical difficulties with some of my plug-ins since the new version of WordPress came out. If you’re finding anything strange, please let me know so I can try and fix it. And I’ve revised my About Me page (and I’m working on the Our Farm page too), so make sure to stop and check them out and let me know what you think.
