That title just made me smile. Again. Meanings within meanings within meanings…
Yesterday I came home to the sheep being out and about. (Which is becoming a perennial fall occurrence around here!)

And then last night I spent a couple hours working on playground plans.

Can I just tell you that I’m just spluttering over the cost of playground equipment?! We’re talking 5 digit numbers for just about anything! And a standard public park/playground easily crosses into the 6 digit realm.
Don’t believe me? Check this out…

How does anyone afford this stuff? And that’s just the play equipment. It doesn’t include any fencing, swings or free-standing toys, benches or tables, or ground cover.
You’ve got to sell a lot of lambchops to raise that kind of money!
But imagine for a moment…
…A low fence with entrances but no gates to keep people out…
…Themed gardens surrounding 3 sides with cool shaded benches tucked beneath flowered arbors, bird baths and toad houses peeking out around butterfly bushes and sunflowers and overflowing herb beds, with bright painted signs teaching about God our Creator, God our Provider, God our Healer…
…A great ark with ramps and doors and fanciful animals under a rainbow flag to tell the story of God our Protector, God our Promise…
…And a bright, bustling play structure for children to climb, to swing, to run and jump and laugh and sing as they build strong minds, strong bodies, strong hearts for God, exploring the Towers of Truth, the Tunnels of Righteousness, the Steps of Integrity, the Walls of Compassion…
A pray-and-play ministry to our church, to our school, to our whole community!
It would be wonderful!
Can you imagine? Can you see it in your mind?
I’ve thrown around several “names” but so far both Mr. Fix-It and I like something along the lines of “Make a Joyful Noise” after Psalms 100.
I would love to hear what you think–Concept wise, and funding wise! If you have ideas for saving money, ideas for raising money, or tips on what doesn’t work, please share!
