Blogging can be a tricky thing. If I want to share a gift without tipping off the recipient, then I have to either make it so far ahead that it’s not actually assigned to a particular person yet (and really, who is that organized?!) or I have to wait until after they receive it to show it.
Or I have to take the pictures just right so that you can’t tell what it is…

Hopefully.
Except that then you don’t know what it is, so how can you appreciate it?

Ah, the murky social dilemmas we crafty bloggers have to wade through!

I didn’t actually get a lot of my Christmas projects list done this.
And I didn’t get any of the Christmas-projects-turned-New-Years-projects done.
Actually, I’m not sure what made me think that list was even worth writing. As if the 5 sets of Christmas jammies I didn’t even start by Christmas Eve were going to magically be completed a week later while my kids were off of school and home with me. Yeah, ok.

But I have high hopes for the Christmas-2011-projects-turned-Christmas-2012-projects list.
Of course, when my college roommate had her first baby, I had high hopes for that crocheted baby blanket too. 9 years and 7 kids between us later, the the Ladybug’s baby doll is snug as a bug in a rug under a certain crooked, half-finished baby blanket… But hey, hope springs eternal!
Did you do any great Christmas crafts this year?
