Wrapping up Valentine’s Day…Wednesday Windings Link Up 02/16/2011

If I was like the rest of the internet, I would have posted Valentine’s Day projects for the last two weeks before Valentine’s Day. But I did do them, so better late than never!

And I’d love for you to link up whatever you’ve been working on too, for Wednesday Windings! The linky’s over there on the left sidebar, and be sure to check out this post if you need help posting a project without a blog.

Even though we were all a little down from losing our dog, and the Cowboy is officially suffering from the flu, again, I still managed to throw a pink tablecloth on our table and gather a few heart-sy supplies to give a little umph to our evening on Monday. And we managed special treats for our teachers and caregivers. And lunchbox love for my crew, of course.

This was a special treat bag for our home daycare provider--also known as an "hcdp" in the mommy world or a "babysitter" in the daddy world.

I love the new owl punch from Stampin Up! And some high quality double-sided paper makes this kind of project easy as pie (made with canned pie filling, of course!). Both sides of the paper coordinate, so all you do is punch once and flip the paper over to match and contrast the different pieces of the little guys.

The paper has some glitter details and I added some Crystal Effects to give it more glimmer.

This card was for our after-school teacher. Her husband had kidney replacement surgery for cancer on Monday, so I worked in some beautiful hymn music that I hoped might encourage their hearts and lift their spirits a little.

That beautiful glitter flower is trimmed out of the SU paper I used for all these projects.

I enjoyed decorating the envelop on this one too, since we hand-delivered it.

Same paper flowers, same hymnal, same beautiful!

And, of course, I tucked pink M&Ms into these lunchbox love notes for all the little loves in my life!

I love how Valentine's Day gives me an excuse to make everything girly!

I hope you had a lovely pink and red and white Valentine’s Day too! Now it’s on to St. Patrick’s Day, so feel free to link up some great ideas to inspire me to get my act together ahead of time!
