It’s Mitch-Match Day!
Since we’re almost to the end of school at our little Christian Academy, the kids are having “Spirit Week” to help rejuvenate everyone for a strong finish to the year. Yesterday was Hat Day. I have lots of pictures of my kids in their hats, so I didn’t really think that warranted a bunch of pictures.
But today was “mitch-match” day.
And I thought it was a scrapbook-worthy moment.
I also realized how good of a job I’ve done with the boys wardrobe–I could barely find something mis-matched for the Cowboy. Other than church and school, he only wears jeans. And almost all of his long-sleeve shirts are white or gray since we do layers so much.
The Ladybug was easy. Everything she has except for school clothes is color, color, color. (And she’s not always a great match-er even on her best days!) Getting a pass from her uniform for a few days is huge for her!
Tomorrow is Western Day (I think we’ve got a wrap on that one!) and Thursday is Stripes Day. But I’m a little stuck for Friday. It’s International Day and you’re supposed to dress like someone from a different country or a missionary friend. I’m at a loss there. We’re not very multicultural around here and we’re certainly not buying anything new.
I’m down to thinking I’ll make them some paper flag pins to put on their shirts! Does anyone have a pattern for making a sombrero out of brown fleece and scrapbooking paper? I’ve only got 2 more days!
Any ideas from my brilliant and creative readers are much appreciated!
Maybe Greece and they can wear a sheet as a toga?? Other than that, no clue!!
Oh my goodness these pictures are adorable. They just look so cute!
