Tissue Paper Garden Craft
The Ladybug came home from school the other day telling me that she planted me a garden to bring home.
Now, that could have meant anything in 2nd grade.
But this is what it meant…
I think this might be one of my favorite school projects so far. It’s pretty, she clearly enjoyed making it, and it’s a garden that will last forever.
My only problem is that unless I use it as decor, where in the world do I put it? It’s not like their flat crafts that get stored in a big art box. I’m still struggling with how to keep all their papers organized from school–or even if I should keep their papers. I mean, that’s the kind of stuff that we all throw away when we hit college–and then miss again when we’re older!
And there’s so much of it!
I’ve seen some good ideas floating around on Pinterest (like this one from I{heart}Organizing). I’m trying to figure out a long-term solution and incorporate it in our playroom reorganization–which has stalled out a bit because of lambing season.
Do you keep all of your kids projects and papers? How? Why? (which may help me figure out the how!) Where do you draw the line before you’re drowning in handwriting tests?
No I only kept things like mother’s day cards and crafts, a kindergarten project, their first story written…and report cards.
If I kept everything my crafty younger two did, we wouldn’t have a place to live! LOL! It is hard to decide though.
