Wednesday Windings 10/06/2010
I got the chance to go to a Close to My Heart card crop over the weekend and make a bunch of Halloween and Fall cards with a bunch of other crafty ladies.
I discovered that I’m not a fan of clear cards. They look good, but there’s three times as much work involved in hiding all the “working parts” of the card.
And I got a great feel for using purple as a Halloween color as well as the standard orange and black (which is still a favorite of mine). I’m not a fan of skulls either, but I like the way the glitter turned out.
We actually got to do a lot of glitter. At the end of the day I had enough on my clothes to make a whole other card at home.
The glitter makes it fun–although I ended up glittering much more than the directions suggested.
We don’t celebrate Halloween at our church or the kids’ school, so this one helped me get started on Harvest Party favors and cards.
I should have plenty more to post next week. My crafting “workshop” will be quite busy from now until the end of the year.
If only I felt this motivated to do my laundry…
Love these! We’re having a card-making, scrapbooking ladies event at our church this Sunday afternoon – I’m super excited!!! And now that I see your creations – I’m looking forward to it even more!!!
Visiting from iFellowship! have a great Wednesday!
Thanks for stopping by! It really got my creative juices flowing too. Enjoy your weekend!
