A Proverbs 31 Sewing Project…Wednesday Windings 04/20/2011

So, it’s Wednesday and I must admit, I’m little ambivalent towards my Wednesday Windings {LINK UP} at the moment.

Hosting a link up takes quite a bit of set-up, promotion and commitment–if you want it to be successful, anyway. Believe me, I’ve learned a lot trying this little venture out!

And while I love crafting and all the great ladies I’ve met while working on it, there’s a lot of already great craft link ups out there. I mean really great one. Ones with 100s of awesome craft projects every week. And truly, I see that you’re readying my Wednesday posts. (Well, someone is, anyway. All those hits can’t be people accidentally coming here for parts after I used “cotton module” as a keyword.)

So unless I get flooded with “no, don’t take our Wednesday Windings {LINK UP}!” emails (ha! ha!) I’m going to just keep using Wednesdays as my creative posting day and sharing the link up parties I’m joining with you for your inspirational pleasure. If you’ve got a link to share–join me at one of them!

And maybe I’ll bring the link up back some time in the future when I win the lottery (better start playing first!) and discover a way to fit 40 hours in a day.

But in the mean time, Bessie and I have been really humming along!

Sorry for the poor photos--but for a cell phone, I don't think they're too bad!

My aunt has been helping me work out patterns for adorable accessories like a cell phone pocket (shown with my drivers license and some cash because I was using my cell phone to take the pictures!) and a beautiful laptop sleeve (which I don’t have pictures of yet because I can’t seem to pry it out of the Ladybug’s inquisitive little hands!).

Can you see the material texture a little bit?

You might not be able to tell, but that beau-ti-ful fabric is a very soft, small corduroy. The snap at the top works for hanging it on my tote, on my wrist, on the shifter in the truck (ok, don’t tell Mr. Fix-It about that one. He hates when I put stuff there!). That “hidden” magnetic clasp was an adventure though.

Yep, that's some wild pink cheetah lining. It's adorable!

I feel like there’s a Proverbs 31 project coming on here! Do you have any creative projects in the works? Are you familiar with the idea of a Proverbs 31 project?

This week I’m linking up over at Whatever Goes Wednesday with Someday Crafts and with Creative Juices Thursday from Momnivore’s Dilemma–be sure to stop by!
