A Proverbs 31 Sewing Project…Wednesday Windings 04/20/2011 — 7 Comments

    • I’ve been in love with that fabric for a while too and finally ordered some online for myself.

A Proverbs 31 project is a biblical-based work at home concept. It’s the idea of being an entrepreneur within the bounds of your home life like the Proverbs 31 woman–she had a farm and vineyard, she made and sold clothing, etc. But all her work was conducted within the scope of her household influence and developed from skills that naturally branched from managing her household. It never took away from meeting her family duties and actually flowed from the excess of her home efforts. My first introduction to the idea was from Elizabeth George’s book Beautiful in God’s Eyes. I think I might post on it next Wed.

    • Isn’t it funny how you can go for weeks without doing anything and then suddenly you get started and your in the groove and you don’t want to step away from the machine? 🙂

  1. I love the idea of Proverbs 31. Now that I have been away from teaching for almost 4 years…home is my center. I do desire to work, but only want to do it from home.

Thanks for linking to Creative Juice Thursday…Hope to see more of your ideas this week!

    • I think there’s amazing work we can do from home and as we branch out with our homes as our center. I don’t think God meant for our homemaking to be drudgery, but bright with love and creativity.

I really enjoy your link up–there’s so many great projects!
