Cardmaking…Wednesday Windings 09/14/2011
With the start of the school year, I’m back to being elbow deep in my papercrafting supplies again. I’ve got cards for teachers, notes for lunchboxes, and the holidays coming up fast too!
I wish I could say that I’m creating a stockpile, but really everything I’ve gotten done this week is already spoken for! {sigh} That’s just the way it goes. At least it means there’s a purpose to my hobby!

Much happier with this one, although I still might go back and add another layer inside the flower...
I’m enjoying the new Stampin’ Up! colors (ok, ok, mostly that lavender Wisteria!) and I love their vintage brads. I haven’t found anything that’s actually vintage that looks a cool as some of them do.

Baker's twine is a new product for me too. I probably could have wrapped this another time or two to make a bigger statement.
I’m stewing on October classroom treats in the back of my mind. Our church doesn’t recognize Halloween, but we like to celebrate with a Fall Festival in October. Last year I used some more benign Halloween papers to make pencil holders. (Seriously, some of that spooky stuff is really scary!)
I’ve also got a couple birthdays and baby gifts coming up soon. (If you have any baby boy gift ideas, send them over!) And then there’s Christmas–which besides typing that I haven’t even thought of yet! Maybe this year I’ll actually have something posted before the holiday to inspire people. (I really, really, admire these bloggers that have holiday projects listed weeks beforehand in case you want to actually try them for the holiday!)
What have you been up to lately?
I love bakers twine too – wish I had a bit more so I wouldn’t be so stingy with it 🙂
I am arm deep in knitting with some sewing projects thrown in for “fun”. Hah.
